The Hyperemesis Education & Research Foundation (HER Foundation), established in 2000, is a non-profit organization focused on the research and education of Hyperemesis Gravidarum (HG), a debilitating disease of pregnancy. The foundation engages in support, groundbreaking research, advocacy, and education about HG. It has become a primary resource for HG, assisting over 2 million people worldwide, including mothers, families, and friends.
American Pregnancy Association
The American Pregnancy Association is a national health organization dedicated to reproductive and pregnancy wellness. They offer a helpline and web chat for guidance, and their website features extensive resources on reproductive health. Key activities include research in reproductive health, advocacy for pregnancy and family health issues, and promoting community awareness about reproductive needs.
Pregnancy Sickness Support (UK)
Pregnancy Sickness Support, established in 2002, is the sole registered UK charity dedicated to improving care, treatment, and support for women and pregnant individuals suffering from nausea and vomiting in pregnancy (NVP) and its severe form, hyperemesis gravidarum (HG).

The HER Foundation recognizes the feelings of helplessness and frustration that family and friends supporting mothers experiencing HG can feel. The “Family & Friends” section provides vital information and resources to effectively support and ensure the best care for those suffering from HG. It addresses common concerns and questions, aiming to empower family and friends with knowledge and understanding of HG.

On December 13, 2023, researchers published a groundbreaking study on the hormonal link to maternal risk of nausea and vomiting during pregnancy (NVP) including the most severe form, Hyperemesis Gravidarum (HG). Pregnancy complications exist around the world. The UK's National Health Service (NHS) notes on its HG information page: "Bear in mind that HG is much worse than regular pregnancy sickness. It is not the result of anything you have or have not done, and you do need treatment and support."
